BRISTOL SAUCE
Article Banner - 'The True Cost of Influencing'
Bristol Sauce were looking for an illustration of an obnoxious food-influencer at a resturant.
I used a grotesque, graphic style, and focused the image around a bright ring light, at odds with the warm environment of the resturant.
How I work:

I sent over a rough thumbnail design to outline my main idea for approval.

I produced a full-colour rough drawing. We decided to make it less busy, and amp up the blue light.

I sent the finished piece over for approval, with plenty of time to make any last minute changes.

Character Drawing - Private Commission
A paladin from a society where the knights worship malevolent forest creatures and conduct horrific sacrifices of peasants.
My client wanted a design based on a Holy Roman Empire knight, with gothic armour and a sense of decay and corosion.

"We're running a feature on Smoking Goat in Shoreditch for our next issue. We need a double page spread: one large image of the kitchen and their open fire set up, and two spot illustrations of the food.
"The style should be bold and graphic, with some sense of energy and fun. We're looking for texture and a sense of symbolism."

Music Promotion
Let The Bastards Grind are a Bristol based record label. They were putting on a show and wanted a punchy, colourful poster to stand out from the usual black and white.
I chose to represent the notion of excess in Grindcore music; a dilapidated guitar amp, crowded with beer cans and cigarettes, set in a grafitti covered squat.
